"It's Like 4-H but for Grown-ups!'
Stacking Bales Social Club (SBSC for short) is my heart project and the product of several years of thinking, planning, trying (failing) and trying again.
I was never in 4-H as a kid and always yearned for not only the sense of community it built amongst it members but I just plain wanted to learn all the things and go on all the trips. As an adult, that desire to learn and do and go places has not abated and I know many others feel the same. And so sometimes you have to create the world you want to live in and so here we go!
How to get Involved
SBSC is in start-up mode and we need your help! As we explore how to put this community together, we would love to hear your ideas as we "beta-test" some of our own in our local community. Drop us a note at dalarnafarm@gmail.com

Learn!
The core component of every SBSC meeting is the Stacking Bales ethos of "see one, do one, teach one"--by sharing our time and talents, we can all learn new skills and set ourselves up to pass that skill onto others.
Skills shared at a meeting could range from how to milk a cow to how to cook on cast iron. Club members decide the topics and what to explore next!
Do!
Doing the things and helping others is another major component of SBSC. Club members help each other and help their local area through group volunteer projects. Think of old-fashion barn raising days of yore--SBSC members show up for each other and their community at-large.
See!
Do you miss field trips? Ever fill out a permission slip for your child and wish you could go along for the ride too? Wait no more! SBSC creates opportunities for lifelong learners to keep learning, doing and growing and that includes field trips to places big and small. Bring your sack lunch and your curiosity.
Be!
There are no "outsiders" at a Stacking Bale Social Club meeting--all are welcome to visit once or every month! Come in your chores clothes or a ball gown---all are invited to simply "be" --be here to learn, be here to help, be here to simply be yourself with others.
